My daughter loves this helmet, it fits her head great, and it has prevented several hits to her head from softballs coming in. It has worked great for her and a great buy, too. You can not beat that combination.
I bought this for my little leaguer with the extra large mellon (got the large). He's 8 years old with a 7 ; 1/4 hat size so the team helmet never fits when he catches. This helmet has been an instant relief for him when he gets behind the plate. I was going to give it 4 stars when you compare it to the features helmets that cost two or three times as much, but went ahead with 5 stars because of the price (its kinda like I bought the base Toyota Camry over the Lexus).
